Default Highest iats you have seen.

So my car usually runs at ambient just cruising. Its 100 today so its about 100iat.

I'm going to the track sunday and they say its going to be hot.

Im not sure what this setup will do as far as iats with the comp 80/79 and 4 inch ebat ic.

At what point on 109 octane would you shut a run down?

Alex, I would not bother running at GLD or Byron when it's 95F out. It's not good for the car and you will run slower because it will be like 2500-3500 DA.

@ OP, do you have it tune to pull timing when IAT's go hi? I'd be pulling timing 175F and above if not sooner. Try asking Kurt he might respond if he has time

Psj,

I completely agree,i normally would never run in this nasty weather. However I have my cousins in from italy for my wedding and all they really want to do is go to the track.

yeah if i have a setup that makes great power and only hits 120-130 at the end of a track (1/4 mile) here in the north east thats when i start pulling 130-150 always.

specially for street cars, but thats just what i do.

Timing, load, boost, octane, etc all play into the deal so the temp numbers can be all over the board....plus the type fuel used and how it is used.

At 3850lbs, 25psi, 116, high 8's at +160 I started to hit 145F at the end of the runs on an air to air. Went to A to W and max at 85F now on 96F days...

I would relook at the A to A design you have...Jim can set you up with an A to A that will work well into the low 20's in boost on a hot day. Or go to A to W and forget about it...just a pita to deal with ice.

PSJ, we would kill for 2500 - 3500 da this time of the year...last Monday I ran was 4800FT!.
