Best headers and cats

Best headers and cats
I am an owner of a 2005 gto and looking to get new headers and cats installed. My question is, what is the best size, brand, and price range i should be looking at. I have been looking at ARH and Pacesetter headers, however, i was recently informed that SLP is the way to go. I want headers that are extremely reliable, that are 1 7/8 or bigger and cats that are in california regulation. Thanks for your time and God bless.

Kooks are some of the best and about the same price as ARH. QTP's are nice also and turn goldish. IMO, none are worth the money unless your going for like 800+ rwhp. Even then, the money can make more power elsewhere. I got some cheap pacesetters. The only problem is they look horrible cause the paint burns off in a few minutes of starting the car.

2) there is not best, but ARH and Kooks are the best quality.
3) SLP is not the way to go when it comes to GTO headers. Are they good quality? Definitely. Are they the best fitting, make the most power and highest quality? Nope.

They will all perform the same...Fitment and quality is what your paying for. E-bay being the cheapest-ARH being the most expensive. The happy middle will of course be pacesetter (what I chose) or TSP, Or BBK. Just pick one and go with it. I read the most forum reveiws on pacesetter, with nothing but good reveiws. California emissions and SLP headers are no good.

TSP does not make LTs for GTO. They do have the pacesetters on sale tho. Check it out. http://www.texas-speed.com/c-348-headers-xy-pipes.aspx

American Racing and Kooks are certainly the way to go as far as quality, fitment, and durability. But most people on here go with ceramic coated Pacesetters because of price. They are very cost effective but not as nice as the stainless steel ARH and Kooks pieces.

Whoever told you SLP was the way to go is seriously misinformed. ARH and Kooks will be best quality and fitment. Pacesetter, BBK, and TSP will be the most common but vary on quality depending on whether you get painted, ceramic, or SS. Not sure if changing the cats will be legal in cali

Ya I know SLP old design for the Fbody is no good.. But the OP is askn about the LTs for GTO.... TSP does not make LTs for the GTO like they do the Fbody and Vet... new design SLP LTs for the Fbody are nice
