Default Head/cam expert? Step inside

Alright heres what I have or plan to purchase in the next couple weeks
The car is a 02 TA WS6 with 22k miles on it
-LS6 intake
-Lid
-SLP new design LT
-SLP LM2 catback
Im gonna do a head cam package for a weekend warrior car that will pretty much be a street car. I was thinking about running a MS4 cam with PRC 215 heads. Along with the valve train upgraded and ls2 timing chain. I was looking to get 430-440 rwhp out of the combo....is this a reasonable expectation for this setup?

Anyone have any combo suggestions?

Anything to add?

You already have the LS6 intake unless someone took it off.

Buy you some 241 heads and have them CNC ported by advanced induction and put their cam in the car.

The car will "appear" to be a cam only car, but run like STINK!

Should make 430rwhp fairly easy.

That setup should be good for 450+

Are you sure you want to go with such a big cam? Your torque and under the curve, useable power will be weak. All your power will be up in the RPM band. If that is what you're looking for, then that setup will be good. There are multiple threads on here with people who have gone the PRC 215 or 227 route with the MS3 or MS4 cam and made the numbers you are looking for.

For a street car, you can't beat a set of AFR heads, either the old 205cc or the new 210cc or 215cc, matched up with a smaller cam. The AFR heads flow so well that you don't need a huge cam to make good peak numbers, all while getting good, useable lower RPM power and torque. A set of AFR heads and a cam no larger than a 228/230 would be really nice.

I'd also go with a small duration cam like a Comp Cams #54-446-11 (232/234, 112+2 lsa) it's basically the same cam as the TSP TRQ.V2, except for a little $$$.

That's a big cam...but if your car is just a weekend warrior you'll probably like it with steep gears and a real good street tune. I'd probably look into their Tsunami cam as well, it's a decent size cam but a little more forgiving than the MS4. You'll gain a lot with the addition of a FAST intake as well.
