Wich will get me better 1/4 mile gains and top end mph gains? Ls6 vs hot cam Alright because I keep getting different answers I'm just going to make a poll. Wich cam with get me better 1/4 mile gains and better top speed like 100mph and up^

You should be pretty well over 100mph in the 1/4 bone stock. A friend of mine took his girlfriend's 2001 SS automatic car with headers and a cutout and an airlid down the track one weekend a few years ago and it ran 12.6 at a 110 mph. Another friend of mine who had a hotcam'd 2002 6 speed car went 11.9 at 116mph. But that car ran exceptionally well for what it was.

This is what I read...I see what you were actually trying to say now. You realize better 1/4 mile gains wont always go hand in hand with better overall top speed...usually getting optimized in a 1/4 mile makes your car less of a top speed long distance runner. You either want to be fast in a 1/4 of a mile, or just be able to drive faster than others on a long road...in which case you would need a cam that pulls to 7000 rpms and a 2.73 or taller gear...hahaha!
