I originally posted this up on the thirdgen.org message board and there is a lot of interest. Hoping to get a lot of people interested and show up here on the LS boards. I put quotations over gathering because I don't want it to be an official thing, just a large meet. We have already reserved and paid for a shelter/pavillion for the day. One of the members on the board is donating some door prizes and show cards. Here is a link to the official thread and below that are the details.

Ft. De Soto Park

3500 Pinellas Bayway South
Tierra Verde, Florida 33715-2528
Shelter #12

October 13th 2012

If you are coming from out of town, many of us will be camping overnight. Campsites are filling up quickly so reserve yours ASAP. Here is the phone number to reserve your campsite...(727) 893-9185.

Something else to note is that there is a $5 parking/entrance fee to the park so be prepared.

Interesting. There is a group of us planning a meet there next month. that is going to be a busy time of year for me but I will try to attend. Is there any charge for camping?

There is a charge for camping but you can have up to 6 people to 1 campsite. If I remember right it is $40 to camp. Cheaper than a hotel and if you split with others, worth it.

Sounds like a great time to "Meet and Greet" ! I'll push on harder to get mine running and on the road by then.

BMR is located close to Tampa. I wonder if they would come out and support the event

Edit: Why not see if any local board sponsor would want to come out???

make sure you use the word 'support' and not sponsor.

I mean if I was a tuner, and new a bunch of cars would be lined up in a parking lot in my hometown. I think I would have a 'special' on street tunes or mail order type tunes and make some money without having to drive all over the state......

That's okay, i'll probably check out your Swift too. I have a 1996 Geo for my daily driver and sometimes visit the Metro/Swift boards. Can't beat 40mpg+ out of a $600 car.
