LS4 Performance - Another trans bites the dust

Can't put it off anymore, she left the old lady stranded out of town.
Dropped it off at Tripple Edge Friday. Dave thinks its the torque converter, but won't know till he diggs into it. I'm a lil excited, been running on 6 psi for over 2 years and I'll finely be able to turn up the boost.

Turbo finally killed it, eh?

I won't know for sure till Dave opens it up, but I'm thinkin it was the converter relief valve destroying the TCC?
Although I did launch it a couple of times in 2nd gear, I'm thinking that didn't help?

Well I got an update from Dave. The torque converter clutch debris it made a mess throughout the transmission, that would have happened turbo or not. However Dave said "both 2nd and 3rd clutches were beyond dead". So maybe 6psi is a bit much for the stock 4t65hd?

No, it's something I've been wanting to do for awhile. I've had the money set aside for awhile, but with me being the procrastinator that I am.

I talked to a couple shops around here and there wasn't anyone around I trusted to touch my trans. So 4 hour road trip to Fort Wayne.

What converter are you going to go with? I have been reading about a lot of PI failures. I have had two, and both had fitment issues. I ended up re-using my stock converter, and it is working great so far. (I am worried)

Yeah PI 2,800. I had read about that and forgot to ask Dave about it. I'll have to get a hold of him tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder.

This is good to know. I had fittment issues, and a few others have had upper RPM problems.
