Here are two cars I've picked out. I'm paying for the majority of my car (and it's my first car), so unfortunately, an LS1 is a little out of my price range (for now, unless I can find something before I get it), so I'll probably have to deal with an LT1, which is fine. Although, I'd eventually probably put an LS1 front end on it if I could find one to match the paint color. I've quite particular, since I'm paying for the majority of it, so I want a V8, with a manual transmission. And yes, I know insurance will be expensive, but I have a job and I'm paying for it.

Neither. You can easily find an LS car for $6000. Look in the 7-8K range and see if you can't work out a deal with someone.

You'll be much happier with an LS1 for performance reasons but they are also more reliable.
