Just swapped my throttle body for a ported one. I decided to to the coolant bypass while I was there and now I have coolant leaking from somewhere. It seems to be pooling around where to oil pan is. I first thought it was the bypass line, but its dry there. Any ideas where it could be coming from?

So I decided to connect the original lines to my new tb. Low and behold, that solved the leak. go figure!

??? Thought u said it wasn't leaking from ther.. Just run a hose straight from steam pipe to the radiator... See how that goes

It wasn't leaking from the new lines, it was leaking from somewhere near/behind the block. I didn't get a chance to see where exactly, it was too dark. when I swapped back the original lines to the tb, the leaking from god knows where stopped. Guess she's got a temper. I'm thinking I caused excess back pressure that created a leak somewhere.

Do you still have ls1 coolant lines? Or ls6?

That's a good question. I replaced my lines with a single 5/16" coolant line from autozone. Maybe I should have done with a bigger diameter. How can I tell if my lines are for an ls1 or ls6? I have a 2002 ls1 if that matters.

Ok if no one had changed out the intake you should have a LS6 intake and the LS6 coolant lines... The 2 lines that go to the TB are different sizes... So you ran a single line like I suggested?

Yea, I ran a single 5/16" line, and that's when it started to leak. I think the line I ran was too small. Maybe a larger diameter line would have worked better.

Yes it probably backed up the coolant system. Only thing I can think of. Only coolant behind engine would be your blocks from the LS6 coolant lines
