Default Spartan built lq9 H/C/I A4 camaro get's 20.5 mpg

Josh is truly an awesome builder. He takes his time and does it right the first time.

It basically has a brand new drivetrain. The engine is completely rebuilt, with l76 (same as ls3 style) heads, mild cam, ls3 intake, 90mm TB, corvette 85mm maf, 1 3/4 long tubes ORY and a dynomax 3in exhaust

trans is rebuilt, bigger pan, cooler, 3200 stall. the rear end was gone threw and a set of 3:73 gears installed.

I just got it back recently and have been putting some miles and a few burnouts. No lie.. i got 20 the first tank and 20.5 driving it literary like i stole it. No WOT runs or burn outs, needs some more parts to put the power to the ground. just rolling 50mph and hammering it, it gets lose. I'm so excited!!

josh's work, selection of parts and awesome tuning is top notch. well played sir

Cam specs? Dyno numbers? Pics of engine compartment? More tire smoke?

engine pic, dirty, which is my fault but.....

no other pics. no dyno numbers i don't know the cam specs i originally didn't plan on doing dyno. He said it really needs tires and SF connectors to do WOT. So I hope to strap it to the dyno after tires and SFC's, just for *****.

yeah.. I don't even keep up with gas prices. I don't have any bad habbits and just consider gas part of my hobby. Cars are my thing. Not even worried about it. When I'm going broke I'll get a honda

BUT!! I was surprised to find out I'm logging 20+mpg with a built and stalled motor. Thats with playing around, running it pretty aggressive, stop and go and taking the long country back roads.

thats awesome i would think the 3200 stall would help since it isnt too big but the gears prob lose you a few mpgs.

I was thinking the same thing! I think the last time I filled up was the first time 93 was under $4 a gallon in awhile. Nice build, I always like seeing what comes out of his shop.

I can't even dream of buying it, the last almost local gas station that sold it switched to 91 2 or 3 years ago. I guess I should just feel lucky I can still get 91 with no ethanol.
