Gears & Axles - Best carrier?

What brand would you guys recommend for a new carrier? Daily driver car, not raced other then some stop light action and twisty road fun. It would be getting some 3:73s as well, stock axles.

I had a Detriot Tru-Trac in my Gen1 lightning with the shims maxed out, which I liked. What are your suggestions?...that aren't "get a 9""

When my rear end blew out i went with a auburn race series locker with mechanical cones and i could not be happier. great price and ive been beating the crap out of it for over 2 years with not a single problem...

A nice Auburn unit should do ya well. I think they run about $450.

Thanks guys. Just curious, what kind of power are you putting thru it?

i would look more into what you plan on doing with it, i dont kno if your aware but going with a higher gear ratio makes your pinion gear smaller there for weaker so as long as u dont have a crazy amount of power and steer away from slicks or DR's you should be fine

I am aware and the car isn't receiving any further mods. I was asking for piece of mind
