Do it. But it has to be done right. Look in the Texas section about the Trans Am widebody. Everyone use to hate his idea but after the end result everyone was kissing his ass. I say good luck and go for it. Keep the stocks just in case you regret it.

I think im am going to do it! Im taking it to West Coast Customs therevgoing to help me with some ideas as well! I love the regular pop ups but someone hit me on my driver side so its cheaper to customize believe it or not!

Mother of god, someone save that poor f-body.

I wouldn't do those headlights personally, just look on ebay or here to find stock replacements.

If done right, I think it could look good and mean. Never hurts to try something new and different, and if it turns out to be horrible, you can always change it back. And like 99bluehawk said, there have been plenty of times where everyone says something looks like crap, but when they see the final product they are all swarming over it. Kind of like when a new car comes to market.

The flip up head lights is one of the things that I really enjoy about the car. I dont see why people always try and change them. I can understand trying to be different but leave the lights alone lol

I was only fantasizing when I saw a 5th gen camaro with red halos and wanted my own. I started building because I didn't just want the ebay halos. After going through 3 sets of headlights I finally came up with the end result in my sig. I get compliments all the time, and probably once every 2 weeks I get someone asking if I'll make them a set.
I say go for it. Be unique. Hell, even if you don't like them in the end, someone may, and you could sell them.

On your mark, get set...terrible!
07-06-2012, 01:56 PM
Not my cup of tea, but its your car..
07-06-2012, 02:16 PM
No no no no no, that's just wrong, but then again its ur car, if u like it go for it bro, but like someone stated already, keep the stock ones incase u regret it

To each there own. I bet it looks good at night and it's different. But i love pop up head light's.

One of those things that's ugly in photoshop, but could probably get pulled off, with the right artist.
07-10-2012, 05:53 PM
I will go against the crowd here and yes....Hell yes... They make it look like a whole new car in the front..
07-10-2012, 06:54 PM
Lol LS1 tech is a tough crowd! Its all good though i posted the idea somewhere else & everyone loved it! Just will have to wait to see the final out come, i guess
07-10-2012, 08:35 PM
So it's going to happen? I think it'll surprise everyone and look good.
07-10-2012, 09:04 PM
Yeah I just have been going around looking at peoples work! Truthfully i want to do it myself but i don't have the time! West Coast Customs might do it but i have to wait until the stop shooting the season they said

Im working on a fixed headlight conversion now...that idea looks like it would save a lot of time and $$ since it has no lens
