I did a web search and a search here but found nothing. I guess I'm the only one not smart enough to figure this out...

How is the intake manifold cover removed? All I see are two of the intake bolts at opposite corners that need to be removed. I tried inserting a screwdriver between the two and pried but no go.

What am I missing here?

Larry

He's trying to get the plastic engine cover off. Not take the intake apart.

you mean the fuel rail covers?

No, not the engine cover or the fuel rail covers. I thought I read that the upper portion of the intake manifold came off. What I've found so far is that it is a two piece manifold, but it is permanently, glued, bonded, etc to the bottom.

Not sure where I heard that. I'm an old school SBC AND BBC fan and the LS series is a motor I'm just starting to learn about.

Thanks guys!

Well, he can probably find a way to get it apart, but it won't be fit to use after that.

Some (or all?) of the FAST manifolds can be taken apart but not the stockers...
