I have a LME forged 347 LS1 with 5.3 stg2.5 heads from Texas Speed and MS3. I have a 90mm LSX intake, headers, spiral flows.
First of all is it OK to Spray this engine. I told the shops that was what I planned on doing when I got the setup.
My car has a 12bolt 3.73 rear.
I was told to use a 3500 stall, which is what I had, but I have only been running NA since having it built and decided to got higher on the stall.
Right now I have the car set to shift at 6000, but on logs it shifts at 6400. On a dyno pull before the intake, it was still pulling at 7000, but I would rather shift lower to save wear and tear on the car because I race it a lot in brackets. I just want the spray to qualify better for certain classes and for fun. Not to use on a regular basis.
The car is in need of a tune. It is on speed density tune right now. I haven't had it on the dyno or tuned. I tuned it myself, but it had already been tuned without speed a speed density setup by Texas speed before the intake. I am defiantly not a tuner and pretty much got it to what I think is a safe tune for me. It's been running on that tune for the past 4 years. So far my best 1/8th is 7.03 at 96MPH and best 60ft is 1.47. When its a 100 degree day like it has been, it runs around 7.3
It is a fairly light car and has had most all the weight I can get out, out. No comforts and sawed off, but does have a full cage.
I'm running 26*11.50 et streets. The car is minitubbed although it has not been taken advantage of as of yet.
I know I could benefit from a tune alone, but if I can spray with this setup, what could I expect from a 150 shot?
