Putting some ls3 heads on an ls2 with a 227/235 .613/.621 cam. Can i get away with a .030 mill??stock ls2 piston and gm mls head gaskets.

.030" will be tight, but with GM valves in the heads you SHOULD be good to go. As always, be sure to measure to be sure!

thanks! I will definitely double check. Would .020 be better off? Just trying to keep the stock compression or very near to it. I will double check but just dont want to cut the heads prior too much. You can't add too much back after its been cut.

The extra .010" of clearance will help for sure.
