Ok my exhaust needs to be re worked but I can not get this thing to freaking move! I have blasted it down with PB tried rapping on it with a rubber mallet, and all kinds of elbow grease and Nothing! I think I would have to hook it to a car and yank it off the collector its so tight. It is like it practically welded itself. Help me out guys I don't want to have to cut it.

Slip fit? Slip fit rarely "slips" once it's been on for a while, especially if you ever drive it in bad weather.

Tie one end of a rope to a tree and another to the exhaust and give it a good WOT!! lol
Maybe heated it up with a torch?

damn... i guess that means I'll have to have to cut it off (it is slip fit) might be time to put some v-bands on it. That would help in the future if I need to drop it again.

Nah man, FD and FC are good looking cars. I don't hate tuner cars for the way they look. I like Supra and Rx7's but that's about it. WRX's and EVO's are kind of gay IMO, most of the reason I hate imports are because of the people that have them. My best friend has a really clean boosted civic and its a really fun ride.

Yeah, I'm going to spend sometime on it tomorrow I really don't want to cut it.

Stubborn exhaust slip fittings can be pretty frustrating. Especially when they're rusted together or crushed with U-bolt clamps.
Rubber mallets never worked for me. I always had to use a mini sledge hammer & 2x4 block so I didn't dent the piping.
If all else fails, hook a chain to the exhaust, get behind the car & start pulling. I've had to do it before when the slip fitting was rusted together.
Anyways good luck man. Hopefully you won't have to cut it.

Since it's an X-pipe just use a 2x4 in the center of the X and smack it with a sledge hammer. It should move.

Can you get the center section off or do you have it welded together as one piece? If you have a die grinder try cutting a little slit in the pipe where you're trying to get it off then get a hammer and chisel to open it up a little bit and losen it up that way.

Or have someone heat it up om the collector then try my first method again lol.

Heat it, shake it, hit with hammer...it will move.

I had to cut a slit along the side of the pipe like half way down where it goes in and that let it open enough to get it off. And when i put the clamp back on it covered the cut and didnt leak at all.

I had the same issue before. As mentioned above, a sledge to the right spot will knock it right off. I didn't even have to hit it all that hard.

soak it down real good with pb blaster overnight, try heating with one of those little blue propane torches you get at home depot heat it up and start twisting and banging

I dont touch exhaust systems without a torch. I dont even bother to TRY and break em loose without heating them up. Especially if the car is over 5 years old. Is it crimped on (like with a band clamp)? You may need to cut it off and cut your losses.
