383 lt1 or bigger
Which is gonna benefit me the most,383 stroked or a bigger block(not sure what yet).. I have a 95 camaro and I'd like to get up to 700 HP +/- streetable. My motor has a vortech supercharger now and like to go blown again.
P.S. I'm on a budget,basically spending money as I get it...

Yea, your best bet if you want to stay somewhat "budget" will be to sell the procharger kit you have now and your LT platform and swap to a 4.8 or 5.3 junkyard motor with an ebay turbo kit and a big intercooler, guys are getting around 900-1000 hp on stock bottom end LS truck motors, while still spending less than $5000

What kinda money would it take to bring an lt1 to 700+ hp keep in mind not every one runs 1/4 a lot of people like rolls and while I under stand an ls/lq swap might be Bette some people like me for instant don't want to swap my mane reason is I have a zf trans and don't want to go t56 others might just like thier ltx motor for under dog reason
I would think a 396 all forged running e85 and big boost could throw down 700 or so

I've seen plenty of Ls builds and I wouldn't say it was that cheap ... Especially at 700 ... What you read and actually see is different . I have two cLose friends who have 650 plus on there Ls motors and none where under 6-7 grand on parts alone .

A 5.3 longblock is around 700, add an LS6 cam, lifters, pushrods and springs for another $600, the intercooler is $300, wastegate and bov 500 max, injectors and twin pumps another 600. Turbo 500 tops. Ill add another 1000 for the hotside and misc costs. So Im not even at 4K and that will make 700fwhp all day.

You know your leaving out so many parts and that's with out even opening up th 5.3 motor you plan to push 700 on with. And before you add or say " fine gasket is what ..Bolts are what.... Add this"... that's my point ... Have you done this ? Or help someone build this set up? If you have .. Then post that sheet with prices , it would be a nice sticky.. And I'm bieng serious. That's sweet if it's true... Ls do make more horse power ... But people always leave out so many numbers, either on purpose or accident . It will cost money no matter what engine he chooses . I still say he is looking at 6-7 min no matter what engine he puts to make 700 rwhp. I have the sheets to my lt1 build. It was 2 grand more at the end then i thought. **** happens and plans change . I have helped gather parts for friends Lt1, lsx , Hondas , etc and always there estimated numbers for project is more then they say it was going to be.

Agree On everything but price .. But since you have done it then I'll give the benefit Of the Doubt. You have pics or dyno sheet maybe even track slip? Be nice for the op to see this . Could make up his mind perfectly.
