LS4 Performance - Why do GXP wheels cost so freaking much?

The wife unit managed to destroy an original front wheel for our '06 GXP and now has done the same for it's replacement. I CAN NOT find another good one for a reasonable amount of cash. Why do they cost so much? Because they're ALCOA?

Because they're the best looking of all the LS4 wheels.

Not to mention they are forged alumnium , look up some forged alumnium aftermarket rims , you wont find that they differ in price too much....

Factory wheels are always expensive. I think considering they are forged aluminum and a brand name like Alcoa the price isn't that bad

yup the best looking 18 i have found on a factory car. thought it was impressive when my friend bought a gxp that had two spokes broken at the hub though that made me doubt how strong they actually are though

you sure they are the best 18's? I have had about a dozen people tell me they either thought it was another car and not a GP or that the rims really change the look of the car and stance. But just playing ;) I am partial to bonnie rims.

the bonne wheels are pretty nice. i just wanted a wheel that was really polished.

Bonne wheels look better on the Bonnevilles IMO. This is my old Bonne GXP. Damn I miss that car. :(

The Alcoa's from the 05-07's are waaaay better than the wheels GM used when they lost the Alcoa contract. I hated the wheels that were on my '08 GP GXP.

the bonneville is really nice. i never see them around though, and yeah the wanna be alcoas suck. i never noticed a difference at first, but now i can point them out a mile away.
