The correct question is "what emission laws don't you need to worry about?" Pretty much, if you mess with your cats, muffler, and since its a 99, your EGR, you'll get bashed come inspection time. Texas sucks when it comes to emissions so if your worried about it and you plan to upgrade, make sure you have cats, a muffler exhaust (the slp loudmouth would be a no go), and don't remove your EGR.............unless you know someone who does inspections

Oh and by the way, welcome lol

The EGR can be tuned out, but it can still get you if they notice it gone. I have had no problems with the missing egr after the header install, but last year they freaked out over the tinted windows and tails. Same set up the last 8 years and now they have a problem.

Welcome!

That's getting harder to find. The state is cracking down and sending in undercover vehicles. The inspectors are losing their license which in turn cost them their paycheck. I had my windows redone and bought a used set of taillights to change out when needed. My "friendly" inspector now works at Advanced Auto.

This. Not like how it used to be 10 years ago. Just a huge hassle now.
