wanted a gto for a DD for the last few yrs and finally decided to get one. I found the one i wanted (2004 gto) and was going to buy it when the owner called me and said the trans (m6) just locked up. I know the guys at RPM transmission very well so this wasn't a problem with me. I told the guy I would take the car at the new low price and went to get it. When i got there i realized it wasn't the trans, it was a problem in the diff. I loaded the car on the trailer and got it home, the next day I started tearing it apart. I found the pinion was missing about half its teeth. I ordered a 05-06 diff and driveshaft, they should be here monday.
I will keep updating this thread. So far the car has a bullet cam and new valvetrain, ported intake and throttle body, jet hot coated pacesetters, 42lb injectors, 255 fuel pump, monster stg 3 clutch, B&M short throw shifter, true dual exhaust with bullets, drilled slotted rotors and a few other little things.

here are a few pics

here is the diff

ok so more updates.... i am doing a new build on the camaro so i have slowed the progress down on the gto.
I was having some major trans issues out of the ol t56, the previous owners had been pretty rough on her lol.

the whole trans was pretty much trashed and had to be completely rebuilt. MY good friends at RPM transmission really helped me a ton. they are great guys with the best product period.

pulled her in the garage http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z143/skinnypimp-ss/IMAG0126.jpg

put a tick adjustable master cylinder in it.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z143/skinnypimp-ss/DSC00496.jpg

took the trash out....
