The crank bolts on all LS motors are metric, unless it has a very early Scat aftermarket crank, which used the 7/16" bolts.

I'd spring for the ARP crank bolt (#234-2503) and the ARP flywheel bolts (#330-2802).

Your pilot bearing is correct, the same as the truck bearing.

I think you need a tool to install the pilot bearing?

I installed mine without a tool, was a little bit of a biotch but not too bad. If needed, you can rent them from orielly's.

The ARP bolts I used for the Flywheel were 330-2802

I also went with the ARP harmonic balancer bolt due to the fact that I read so many stories of people's bolts backing out as well as not needing to stretch the ARP bolts.

they rent the pilot bearing tool at any auto zone.. its just a slide hammer with a tip that spreads when u tighten the jam nut.. then just lightly tap it in with a deadblow. i always freeze a bearing before install as it contracts it a bit and makes em easy to slide in..once warmed up its tight as a virgin

also OP..remember that the dual mass uses longer bolts for the flywheel..when u change it to a single mass youll need the ls1 flywheel bolts

The stock bolt won't back out if it is installed properly.

Obviously.. The point is with the stretch on the stock bolt you run more of a risk of not installing properly.
