Street Racing & Kill Stories - Me on 93 vs Pulley/intake/exhaust/meth/tune ZR1

I was at the drag strip last night and ran my GT-R on my full bolt on setup. This was mine and the ZR1's first passes at the strip that night before the bad weather came in and shut the place down. My mods are in my sig and the ZR1's mods are Pulley, intake, exhaust, 100% meth and a tune. He is on 18" drag radials with a drag pack.

Times were 11.02 @ 129mph for me and 11.5 @ 127 for him. We are going to run again at another strip tomorrow to see how we both do. This time I will be on E85! :pepper:

He missed 2nd. He only had about 5 passes on his setup. His best ET and trap so far was 10.7 @ 134mph. Me on E85 should make it interesting. :devil:

There a few local pulley/bolt-on ZR1's trapping similar mph as well. Not everyone can drive though.

Rematch TODAY. Also something to note, just because the best driver of one setup got an awesome trap doesn't mean your average driver will accomplish the same task. Not saying I'm faster in any means, but that not all cars act the same.

It doesn't take an elite driver to get better times than what your boy did, and 140+ ain't "awesome" its average for a ZR1 with those mods on a sticky tire. He's a poor driver, maybe he'll get better with practice.

Yes it is Whatcop? His car is good.

We went at it earlier and he beat me 2 out of 3 times. Our passes each time was 11.0 @ 130 for him to my 10.85 @ 130, then 11.1 @ 129 to my 11.4 @ 129 (forgot to use LC :(), and finally 10.6 @ 129 to my 10.85 @ 130. I will have videos up of all the passes. One of the guys from the shop that built his car did an 11.0 at 135 in his car later on in the day.

I think once they fix the clutch issues he was having and run the car in cooler temps he will be in the 9's. Heat soak was killing his car even after taking 30 min breaks between passes.

All in all I had fun though, our group were the only ones there, save for 3 or 4 bikers and a Jr dragster. I even did all my passes at the strip in sandals and no helmet or cage. :D

very nice resuts of the races in for the vids..my buddy has a 09 gtr stock just tuned i belive his best time has been 11.1..hes afraid to blow the tranny.so dosent do any of the 2 step thing or stall

LOL one thing to note about all of these races was that I drove across Georgia in my car with my A/C and music blasting, a full suitcase of clothes and my laptop bag in my trunk and still knocked out 10's. Mind you this is also my daily driven car. I could spend 10k on a rattle trap that wouldn't be as nice or as comfortable and run 9's, but seriously I wanted a car that could do it all and some.


One last thing. I didn't spend 80k, even with the mods on my car.
