Default One mod just creates another mod needed

I have purchased a lot of new parts for my 99 TA. Your welcome TSP. Got their stg 2.5 ls6 heads with torquer v3, 1 7/8 headers, Fast 92 TB, Ported fast 92 intake along with other minor things. Just started taking parts off the car to be ready for new parts when they get here. I bought a used set of red top fuel injectors and am now wondering if i will NEED a new fuel pump or will my stock ok? Seems like I keep buying more and more needed parts to supplement my head/cam purchase.

197 bucks to ward off an engine DEVASTATING lean condition seems like a no brainer to me..... Racetronix with the hot wire kit.

unfortunately thats part of the game a mod is no good without the supporting mods. red top i assume those are 30lbs injectors. your stock pump will probably keep up but your duty cycle is probably going to be maxed out which could cause a lean condition later on down the road. you might want to think about going to at least 36 lb injectors or 42 lbs and i would upgrade the fuel pump to a racetronix with hot wire kit. not worth the risk of going lean

I bought the red top being told those are 36lbs on a ls1, is that incorrect? I did take the plunge and buy a racetronix today

Red tops are 30 lbs injectors on most other vehicles fuel pressure...on an LS fbody, they are around 36 lbs because our cars run higher fuel pressure at 55psi I believe.

LS1 fuel pressure is 58 with a good pump. Your red tops are 36's. No worries there, unless you plan on a shot of nitrous.

Congrats on the racetronix. You won't be disappointed.
