Stereo & Electronics - Speaker size and wire question

What size speaker would an 01 SS without the monsoon system have? Crutchfield tells me 5 1/4 and 6.5 so I'm a bit confused

Also, has anyone seen a 90 degree elbow for aux inputs? I cant get my radio to seat all the way in because my aux inputs are hitting my hvac ducting

I think you'll find your car did come with the Monsoon system. I think all Z/28 and SS models had Monsoon systems in 01-02. If you have hatch area speakers then it's a Monsoon system.

In any case, the speaker size is the same for base audio and Monsoon systems - both have 6.5" round speakers in the doors and the sail panels.

Oh, and a quick search on Google for "90 degree rca connector" found lots of options from Amazon and other suppliers.
