Hey everyone, I have never posted in this section, just curious how many members are in Colorado? I am looking for F-bodies to roll to summer events/shows with and such...

I know quite a few guys around your area aswell.. kinda sucks now that its winter though not too many of us go out as much right now ya know

I understand completely, my car wont be leaving the garage until spring, I was just trying to network before summer.

What about Colorado spring area? Just got here last week, I think I have only seen 2 5th Gen camaros 1 4th Gen and one c5 its a big adjustment coming from Texas, I hope in the spring things pick up

I have no experience with anyone in that area, but I would guess its weather related, most of us do not drive these vehicles here past October or so. I personally do not take mine out after the first good storm because of all the road salt/mag-chloride they put down on the roads... that crap eats everything alive. Welcome and wait it out til Spring, it will get better.

Im in the Arvada area (CTS-V owner). Did any of you guys go to the KBPI dyno day? I was there and made 414 whp with the caddy and owned the lowest HP dyno of the day with my BMW drift car (175 whp). I will be swapping an LS1/t56 from a 99 trans am into the BMW this winter. Anyone want to help?

Im parting the trans am also. Search on craigslist if interested.

I might be interested in the part out, does it have a leather interior by chance? Im also looking for an SS spoiler, PM me if you want. I might also be interested in helping with the swap...

as of right now it is complete with black leather interior. The drivers bolster is beat up though. I have people interested in the wing, tails, shades, rear bumper, small misc parts. I'm in Pueblo West, but I work in the Springs. Unlike some, I do drive in the winter. If there's snow ON the roads, I drive a 4x4, but otherwise you'll see me in the C5.

im the same way.. ill still drive in the winter IF there is NO snow and is a nice day. Weekends only though

The V has a Maggie on it and Corsa exhaust. It dynoed at 489 whp when I first got it, but I had O2 and cat failure codes during the dyno day. Now I know those codes are worth 70 HP! I hope to do motor/trans/diff mounts, get a real tune (open to suggestions) and hope for 500+ WHP by next summer.

We have snow tires for our Caddy and drive it year round, snow or no snow!

The Caddy sounds mean, my buddy has a 04' V with longtubes, OR Y-pipe and cat back... sounds so good that way. I cant imagine having a Maggie screamin' under the hood as well!

As far as a tune goes, you might try to contact Peter @ Dragon Race Engineering, he does a lot of Forced Induction GM tuning... He has been around a long time, he recently moved up North, but its not too far really.

On that same dyno? .. that sounds like a sweet ride you got there! I got mine on that dyno a few weeks ago aswell. Got 430 whp 391wtq all motor.. looking to spray somtime in the near future. .. talk to clint @ A.I.R.. he works on high hp lsx vehicles.. great tuner aswell

Clint wont return any phone calls and this "badass" supercharged corvette tuned by Clint dynoed that day and only made like 430 whp and was so rich the exhaust looked like a diesel! Makes me a little uneasy about wanting you use him. Anyone have personal experience?

jeepster nice to see you on here man, only talked to you once before but yea that V is pretty sweet. I have dealth with Clint numerous times and he is very friendly and very easy to deal with, now I have only had my car tuned by him a few times but I am very pleased.
I wanted to make it down to dyno day to check out everyones rides but work got in the way.

I bought the SS hood from him for a really good price.
I will tell you though that his car is NOT an SS and the only O.E part was the hood lol. The spoiler is a knockoff that fits really good but its still a knockoff Ebay one.

i just joined here and i have a brighton/thornton address. I live off highway 7 at interstate 25 right by daveco liquor store. I just bought my car and havent had a fbody for a while but now i have one but i have a feeling its gonna be a garage queen project for a bit. Definitely got a few issues to fix.

True, the weather has been beautiful, my car is just down for repairs/maintenance, then I have to pass emissions and get replated... but id still be down for a GTG anyway.

The Blue Vette had a big boost leak that saturday, knew exactly what it was the piping came off around the intercooler. Customer dropped off 2 days later on monday, got her fixed up and shes back to 608 RWHP :-)

Yes, I have tried calling a few times. Several times last year in regards to tuning my Tahoe and CTS-V. Always went to voicemail and never got a return call.

Tried again in about September and same thing, voicemail with no return. (regarding CTS-v only this time)

Hey guy's! East Denver near DIA LS1 conversion swap.. With a Gbody Grand Prix conversion in progress! I have a 85 Pontiac GP with a: Firebird formula 5.7 99 Ls1, 98 Camaro T56, 87 Buick GN 8.5 rear with 3:42's, C6 front and rear's with a Ls fbody abutment bracket's at rear axle.. etc etc Looking for anybody with some harness expertise... and who has passed a visual and emissions test?? Also looking for a tuner who can tune my ECM with a auto trans tune to manual tune..

I just moved to Greeley area this last month, my car is still in California and probably wont be bringing her out here until spring time. I can imagine having a Turbo LQ4 spraying meth im going to need to retune it due to altitude change. Any good tuners in the area?

Just moved to Colorado Springs area about 3 months ago. Just picked my car up in Texas and heading back to Colorado this weekend. Just rebuilt the engine and installed a Racetronix fuel pump. Stock internal for now. I'll be out and about in the Springs soon.

I went ahead and had the exhaust done here after I got the car running. Original plan was to tow the car home to Colorado and do all the work there but decided to get it all done here and drive the car home. Headed back to the Springs tomorrow morning.

I was also at the kbpi dyno day. I tuned the 04 black cts-v that put down 523 on a 100 shot and also the nnbs white silverado. We have a Shop that we share with titan specialty metals, they do awsome custom fab work.

Hello guys, I also live in colorado, Grand junction to be specific. Are any of you guys out my way? im a decent trip from springs and denver but if there was something big going on I would definatly be willing to make the trip. Been searching for a nice ls1, actually i am most likely going to be purchasing this white 00' z28 the 28th up near springs, looks very clean. 74k, lid and exhaust always garaged.

Its funny that you guys were all at the kbpi dyno day. I was actually up in the denver area that day to check out an 01 vert that was killer nice, but they wanted a bit more than i was willing to pay.

Sure do, blew up the LS1 last year and swapped out to a 6.0 iron block with all the LS9 goodies. Swapped the auto for a T56 (street car) with a 76mm custom rear mount, innercooled spraying Meth with a boost reference controller. Makes 650hp to the wheels @10#

Are they holding up pretty good?

Basically the LS9 top end, cam, rods, springs, etc. And yes so far so good, no problems with the setup. Drives like a street car....almost.
