And to think, a bolt on 09+ V will still kick its ass at the strip. Lol

This and could probably buy an 09 for the price of this build and selling the 06.

(PS I always laugh at your times in your sig - seems about right with these cars)

Nice... what kinda power you guys expecting out of this setup? FAST 102 in there somewhere?

I'm guessing 600ish in a vette. 550-575 in the Caddy with as much torque and a maggied ls6.

I think the forged bottom end is screaming for boost.

Damn that's a lot a cash to spend at one time... Thing should be impressive with the rear end swap

Damn!! And imo, if you enjoy your car and have the cash to build it right then you should do that. He probably couldve bought a v2, and maybe the v2 will still be faster at the track, but when this build is done the owner will have, (not only a bad ass v1), but bad ass built car period. That's what he wanted, and exactly what he'll get!!

It doesn't matter what type of vehicle you have, there will almost always be a faster one out there somewhere.

There are fewer V1s out there than V2s, and at the rate you guys wreck them, there are fewer every day. They look badass, are really farkin fast, and feel faster than they are. V1 will be a classic one day soon.

Thats a badass motor.

I dont really understand the comparison with selling the v1 and buying a v2. Id way rather have a v1 with that monster motor anyday. I thought modding your car was all about making it special or different. Id say this v1 will be way more special then a v2 with some bolt ons. Theres more to it then just quarter mile times

Looking forward to progress!

How much does that motor cost, and how much HP is it putting out?

What's this guy's name on the forum?

The customer has never seen the 2006 in person. He purchased it from another state and shipped it directly here. I mentioned a new V to him when we initially spoke and he said he doesn't care for them and always wanted to build a V1.

I'm not sure. He's not using a very aggressive camshaft. Specs are 235/242 .603/.618 114 LSA.

We've used the FAST 102 on G8's and they don't seem to drive nearly as good as a ported stock, so this car is getting s ported OEM LS7 intake.

We have several C6Z N/A stock bottom end head/cam, bolt-on builds that make 600-630 RWHP with our stage 3 camshaft, but it's more aggressive than he wants in this car.

How much does that motor cost, and how much HP is it putting out?

What's this guy's name on the forum?

As a complete longblock from oil pan to intake, it's around $20,000

I don't think he's on the forum.

I don't think an 11:1 compression would be screaming for boost. Just sayin.
It makes me glad to see people not nut ride and just build what they want and how they want

True, but 8psi is manageable at 11:1 static, pending that cam choice of course... not sure where the DR would be...

Either way... very nice setup.

Pretty cool someone is building their car how they would like to. I hope he/she enjoys it

V2's are certainly nice, but this V will be bad ass. Whoevers car this is, is one lucky sob. I would love to build something like this.

Agreed. The buyer is obviously rolling in dough, but it's nice to see people with money spending it the right way.

This is the sort of thing you see in more developed desired/luxury/exotic vehicle circles. Its pretty good to see it happening

TheLostDriver

It's true venom but most of them buy new cars and mod them, other than classics, you don't really see these "developed" areas with fixed up older rides unless they're fixin to sell them for something newer lol

No way a dual stage NO2!! How big a shot could this thing take repeatively?
