why the paint job? only 65k miles? and how high end is high end?

youngb

The paint job came about because I don't really like the look of a 14 year old paint job also the doors were keyed in a couple of places. You may have noticed that this car was totally rebuilt from top to bottom... That was at 57k so it made sense to me to match the rest of the car with fresh paint. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder so if you have to ask the question: How high end the paint is?... You should probably come take a look.
By the way the paint is comparable to the rest of the parts on the car.

is the tranny a 4l80 or 60/ also is the computer a 98? or???

youngb

The trans is a 4L60. I'm running the origninal computer. Despite popular opinion the 98 computer can be tuned to run quite well if tuned by the right person. The tune on my car runs exceptional.

One thing about this car is if you were to step up to those kind of hp numbers...There will be no need for any suspension mods. This car has a lot of overkill built into it to handle whatever you throw at it. I built it with safety in mind first as well as durability.

Looking forward to seeing you Saturday morning to look at the car. Going to Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown Friday night to meet a couple of buddies there running their cars. I might make a pass or two in the Z06.

If you see this post, would you please PM your address to me so I can Mapquest it and get directions to your house? I will bring your # with me and give you a shout from the track tomorrow night and confirm everything with you.

Too bad its on short notice, would be cool to have you bring the car out and make a couple of passes in it at Baytown:burn:

See ya Saturday morning!
Thanks
Floyd

Are the pistons forged as well? Any solid 1/4 times out of it Sir?

good question. i think the rods and hardware are the weaker links. and the pistons are good for over 600hp. but ya a nice forged piston would be better knowing it was sprayed. are they forged???compression same in all cyl.??

Hey Bob
Was a pleasure meeting you today, me and my buddy had a great time shooting the bull with you. Sorry we took up 3 hours of your time, dd'nt realize we were there that long:judge:
Enjoyed the ride in the car, and was really impressed with it over all. Car was pretty much exactly as you described it in our phone conversation. I am glad I held out and did'nt pull the trigger on some previous cars I had looked at. I think this is pretty much what I have been looking for:burn:

For all of you guy's out there that are curious about Bob's SS Camaro, Its a really nice well built car. As for Bob, he's a class act! Super nice guy, definantly the kind of guy you like to buy a car from.

As for the car, it wont belong to Bob much longer, deposit was given and the car will be coming to stay at my house for a good long while starting on Monday !:D

See you Monday around 10:30-11:00am Bob. Thanks for your time today!

Thanks
Floyd
