Stereo & Electronics - Foglight melting??

Has anyone that has HID's in their fogs had a problem with the foglight housing melting? Just noticed this today. Both of my fog light houseing are melted where the bulb goes in.

its only plastic........hot bulb.........melted housing......i thought it would be nice to change out the stock 880 bulb to the vette 885 bulb.....WRONG........melted housing follows

People do it, I think the trick is to make sure your using 35w ballast.

mine did this as well .. best thing would be to pick up a set of LT1 fogs as they are made of glass, all you have to do is use your LS1 mount for them

my old LT1 was plastic also..........

I had one melt from a regular 880. The trick is to only use the fog lights... in the fog. (It's too bad, cause they look great when on.)
