when I start my car its knocking and squeaking. the knock mostly stops when i take off the valve cover but the squeaking doesnt stop. when I rev it up the squeaking stop, then when its idling it does it again. its got a little bit bigger cam in it. but idk if its the lifters, pushrods, or valve springs? and I know its a top end sounding knock. can somebody please help. I havent been able to drive it all summer..

and the heads have been ported decked and polished. idk if that would have something to do with it also..

Family of mice living in the engine? lol Accessory belt slipping? I would try to post a video of the noise....kinda hard to diagnose by a description of the sound.
