SO- I am getting my camaro delivered next monday and it needs paint. Dont wanna maaco it, and dont wanna spend 3k plus on a new paint job. So...I turned my thoughts toward vinyl. I'm thinking satin black vinyl wrap. The materials for the entire car would not be much (under 500$). My question is if any one has experience with this process? How hard is it and will someone help me? :hail: I have seen some pics of this in here and on the net. I think it looks kick ass, specially with black rims.

The vinyl part is cheap. The labor part to put it all on is $$. And to put it on right is $$$$$
When I repaint my car its either going to a buddy or I'm gonna do the prep and let maaco spray bomb it.

Its hard, I tried just to do the front bumper on my T/A and the sob was hard to adjust. You need a heat gun to be able to stretch the vinyl around the curves of the car. Plus you need a plastic spreaders to take out the bubbles of the vinyl while you are adjusting it. I would just plasti dip your whole car, much cheaper then what your going to spend on just materials, plus you can take off quicker when you get bored of it. Check this out!

almost done with my car, and while it is very time consuming, it's DEFINATELY possible to do with a buddies help to stretch. geek wraps "dot" com has a bunch of stuff that helps. just need the 3 sizes appliers (with the felt) and the wrap juice. good heat gun or butane torch and your set on tools. oh...loooots of razor blades, and an exacto knife. I have apx 25 hrs in mine, and I am still left with the valance and bumper.
my best advice, would be to order a sample piece and wrap a mirror. will cost ya $10 and you can get a feel for whats the most important part of the project....if you have the patience to do it!
