OBDII to OBDI question
So I bought a 95 PCM and LT4 KM for my 96 TA. Doing a swap from a m6 to A4. Was talking to a guy today about the swap and he says the 95 PCM will not work because of the crank sensor. Did I just waste money buying the 95 PCM and cables etc? Just wanted to be able to tune for nitrous and cam in the end.

The crank sensor is used for mis-fire detection only that
OBD1 does not use. You will need OBD1 knock sensors
they look the same but they are not.
LT4 knock modules do not play nice with the OBD1 pcms
Have seen them pull 5-7* just easing into the throttle
Heres some numbers
16188309 Knock module - LT1 95 Impala SS
16217700 Knock module - LT1 F-Body OBD-I
16214661 Knock module - LT1 F-body OBD-II
16214671 Knock module - LT1 Corvette
16214681 Knock module - LT4 Corvette
16214691 Knock module - LT1 Impala 2

You don't need to change anything, not even the resistor mod is needed. Just disable the KS code, when you satrt the engine with the new PCM it will pop a DTC, disable it and you're set. Knock detection will still work.
