Does anyone have these? Are they rediculously thin??

Also do they have the same annoying color shading issues like the ABU? Or did they get that right??

I am hoping I can get issued some sets for my upcoming deployment.

So wont know for a while. My base BX isn't getting any since we aren't a "hot location base." Fucking BS...nobody from AAFES has apparently ever stepped outside in a St Louis summer.

I just got a pair from us patriot. 150 bucks with everything sewn on and shipped. They match perfectly, and they are way more comfortable.

The lady at clothing/sales told me I could get em online through AAFES but I can't seem to find that option.

AF can just forego with the ABUs and switch to multicams, imo.

Yes! Look way better IMO.

I'm picking up a few new sets of the lightweight AbU's come the first. I checked them out already look and feel much better. This heat down here is killing me.

YES! Your UDM should give you a letter and take it to clothing sales.

it depends on the mission you are supporting...most multicam uniforms are currently reserved for anyone going outside the wire...

That's all we carry at Patrick AFB from what my boss told me today. Hell I need to stop by CS and pickup a few sets myself.

Do they have a return policy on that? And glad to see after 7(?) years with our stupid fucking uniform they still can't get them to match.

Now I am slightly hesitant to order a set...

they fade faster too it seems... one wash and they are a shade lighter..... just like the plain jane heavy abus or now winter weights, but those seemed to keep their color longer, then turned whitish..... the summer weights seem to do the same quicker...

I've had them for a while now (the 100% cotton), I'm a 3E0X2 so we've had them since they came out. At least the ones issued to us are crap they fade extremely fast and somehow I punched a hole on a set of pants in less than a week. They are nowhere near as heavy as the regular ones but I like my uniforms to last, especially if I'm paying for them. Also they are a bitch to keep looking sharp, you can iron them a bit but once you take it off and don't hang them they get really wrinkly.

My shop just got some new ones issued so we'll see if they are nay better than the previous ones.

I also went from using 36R on tops to using 36L or 38L, they shrink more than the BDUs, kind of annoying.

A buddy of mine picked them up. They look good, but he said he ordered the same size as his normal ABUs and when he washed them they shrunk badly, and advised me to pick up the next size higher.

^^^yep, a size bigger and, at least for me, had to change from R to L, hate having the sleeves higher than my wrist
