If you have tips I'll gladly take them, I already have a lexan front and back glass for it...would also like to find a light wing to replace the heavy factory one...

How do you like the hood.
If you get a chance, I'd like some pics of the underside of the hood.
Do you think it will draw air in from the nostrils or the cowl. I have a super victor and Fast 4150 tb. Just trying to get an idea on how to get the most air from.
My car is gutted also and same seats as yours.

I'll try to get some tomorrow, the vents are definitely functional, the cowl sits real close to the windshield so it don't see it getting much airflow....I myself am using a super vic and 4500 with a carb hat.

Got a call from my chassis guy today to come down and check on the car...got the bar done now to finish the firewall....said I should have it back by the end of the week...we shall see...

Where are the pics of the underside of the hood.
No hurry, but. LOL!

So I dug through my shed today and made some room, still haven't gotten the hood out to take some pic for Rene, and found my trans and drive shaft that I will be using until I can swing the cash to get the glide. Cleaned and paint the trans and drive shaft. Both look good as new. Trans is a PTC Th400 with Freddie Brown RMVB and brake. Should be good to get the car going...still waiting to get the car back from my chassis guy...I may have it back by the weekend but I am still waiting on my new chassis harness from RWS....once the car is back I will be installing the new harness and all the body wiring, new battery box, battery switch, and remote jumpers.

As far as my goal, it's going to be a little street car...simply I want it to go as fast as it can on pump gas and still drive it.

The bar wasn't too bad...my chassis guy had to "massage" a few bars to get them to his liking...

I would love tp put a glide in but I will use the 400 to get the car running. Can't afford the glide I want right now plus I still have alot to buy for the build. I'll get the pics don't worry I haven't forgot about you lol. I have to pick up the car now I'll try to squeeze into my shed later if the weather holds up.

With the plastics cut I had to come up with a new method for the cargo cover...ended up modifying it to work with the bars installed...

To stop it from shifting around I pulled the carpet back and drove two screws through it and they sit in the rubber bumpers...I put the carpet back over the screws and glued it. Here is a picture of the screws going into the bumper....

On the passenger side of the car in the rear wheel well, was there a big (4"x6") black electrical box thing back there? If so what is/was it? I have it in my TA and was wondering if I could take it off.

The bar is an S&W piece that was $499, as far as the labor I had gotten a good deal. A really good deal.

I believe that box you are referring to is the factory amplifier if I'm not mistaken.

Ok...so after talking to a few people I know, that are going fast, I decided to not even try to put the TH400 in the car and just get the glide combo done the first try....So my trans is up for sale...

So I ordered the two remaining pieces to button up the interior this weekend. :cheers: Carpet and shifter...of course I am still waiting on my wire harness. Once I have that stuff I can be done with the interior...next is to finish my front suspension....have Spohn K-member, A-Arms, and rack still in the wrapping...want to pick up spindles as well as front and rear brakes...Thinking about trying the TRZ Motorsports anti-roll bar....I will post pics when I get the harness, carpet, and shifter. Hoping to have a buttoned up interior within the next few weeks....I hope....

Got the carpet laid out and fitted today...went rather well for my first time attempting such a feat. Started putting the interior in but I am still waiting for the wire harness.

Here is an idea of where I will have my intercooler, still trying to fit that big mofo under the dash with out loosing my glove box....might have to clearance my cross bar for that to happen....

have you thought about your instrument cluster? seen too many people go to put their dash back in and the cross bar goes right where the cluster fits.

:hail: Your the man Brian...but the interior will not get buttoned up until I can figure out this intercooler mounting...I have a couple of ideas but I'm not sure if any of them will actually work....

The rears are 15x10 with a 7.5 backspacing. I believe the front are 15x3.5, not sure the spacing. I had the take a decent amount of material off the calipers for them to fit.

Looks good! I'll be Ordering an s&w moly 10pt in a few months, glad I finally got to see what one actually looks like installed.
It still amazes me that the NHRA allows swing out door bars to be "legal" yet a low-slung door bar, even if triangulated back to the main hoop, is not legal.
