Default Cam Thrust Plate - Oring

Just put my cam in and got to looking at the thrust plate oring. There are 2 little places where I cannot tell if it is torn, or if they are notches in it from the factory. Has anyone else noticed theirs looking like this?

I was looking in my book and the picture of the one in there looks a little different and shows the oring being notched.

Thoughts.......?

Be aware there are now two plates. One has countersunk holes in it and the original doesn't. If you get the one with countersunk holes, the bolts and torque values are also changed.
