Corvette Performance - Does My Coupe Really Weigh This Much?

I wanted to see what you guys thought about this. A few months ago I went to a drag racing event in which they weighed my car with me in it. The man told me it came in at 3240lbs. Now, Im 6'6 260lbs, so can the car really be under 3000lbs? These are some of the "weight mods" the car has: No heavy mufflers and piping (just a short xpipe with two bullet mufflers under the car), no heavy stock exhaust manifolds (lighter headers), no ac system including condenser, lighter aluminum wheels, no passenger seat (that day), lightweight forged internals (pistons and rods, who knows how much a diff that makes), and Michelin Super Sports which are much lighter than stock runflats. The C5 coupe's advertised curb weight is 3245lbs. So, is it really that light? I gotta find a truck scale station.

Absolutely. Sounds right to me, I had all your weight reduction minus the seat and the a/c and weighed 3041. Cars are some skinny ladies.

Weight sounds right on with the lighter weight mods you've done.

Lol, yeah played ball all my life. Everyone is surprised when I get out the car.
Thanks guys. There was a few guys who couldnt believe it and then I started to doubt. No wonder this thing moves with 490rwhp (old setup) and I took out a few 600hp Cobras. I wonder if my LS3 will weigh more then my LS6?

Im 6'1" 210. With me in the car and a half tank gas, 3210. I have no mufflers but 19" wheels all around. Car is a 6 speed with a stage 2 clutch. I believe automatic cars weigh a little more.

I havent compared the weight of a 4L65E and a T56 but you'd be surprised how light the 4L65E is without fluid. When I rebuilt mine I carried it pretty easy.
Also at that track day I had less then half a tank of gas if I remember correctly.
