Pontiac G8 2008-2010 - Condensation building up in lights.

Did pontiac go cheap on their headlights and tail lights? The passenger side front and back lights have condensation built up in them. Any suggestions on fixing this, or should I just replace them?

I've never had moisture in the headlight or tail lights, luckily. I'm guessing they should be sealed, but I'm not sure on that one. When I installed my HIDs, there were rubber gaskets on the dust cover, so I'm assuming they should be sealed.

Is it constant or does it go away? Mine get a little foggy, but it goes away pretty fast when you turn them on. I noticed it right off the bat, but was told by the dealer that it was normal and they couldn't do anything for it. Whether the dealer was giving me a bunch of crap or GM fucked it up, it's not cool.

Now, after 22K miles I see the headlights appear to be pitting. Doesn't seem to affect their functionality, but it looks like crap at night went they are on. Looks like it should wipe off, but it's in the plastic. GM = bad at making headlights IMO.

It goes away pretty quick, it is every time after it rains though. I figured because of the projectors my hids will be ok. It is a huge eye sore though.

After I installed my HID's this was happening on my passenger side headlight. I sprayed the dust shield with plastidip to seal any gaps and it has not happened since.

I agree 100%, but GM never got that memo, or more likely, just doesn't care.
