What would you all think about that. I know everyone has seen the sharpie Lamborghini Gallardo. What would you think about a sharpie TA in the same style with black C5 deep dishes with a white pin stripe. This is something I am honestly considering. It would take me months after starting and this is not a car I drive often. I think it has potential.

how does the sharpie not fade and look like total crap after a few weeks? I never understood that. Is it clear coated overtop to protect it?

I would never do it to my car, but that Lambo does look pretty cool so if you're considering it, go for it! You can always paint over it if you really don't like it.

Yeah I believe they clear over it. Like I said, if done right, it would be pretty cool.

You could pull it off if you know someone who is REALLY good with a sharpie.

Yes they clear coat over it btw.

It would take forever... the price of 56 cases of sharpies is cheap tho

Maybe paint the car black and use metallic sharpie? That would look pretty cool.

They don't use just regular Sharpies, there are "industrial" ones from the Sharpie company that are higher quality and obviously more expensive, and the combination of clear coating helps it not fade.

Btw this has been done on a Trans Am. I'm too lazy and tired right now to find it, but I know I've seen a red Trans Am that's been sharpied. Would be interesting to see one that was like the Gallardo in white.

Not to say you don't want to keep the car that way forever because it would look pretty cool. But couldn't you wrap the car in vinyl and have the artist sharpie over that and then use a clear coat or better yet clear bra over the whole car?

I've also seen a Lotus Elise around my area that has what looks like a sharpie paint job but is really just a wrap pattern over the entire car.

Whatever you do just remember to post pics it sounds pretty cool.

This is a pretty cool idea and gave me an idea. What do you guys think about sharpie-ing something like this onto the hood of my 96 WS6 for a hood bird? This is something my wife drew up and I thought it was pretty badass.

Maybe do it on some stripes or a hood mural or something...on the whole car would look like crap.

I was only thinking of the bird part (not the flames below it) on the hood as a mural like you said. I don't want to paint the rest of the car, I like it black :D

doing the whole car is a no no IMO, I do think the camaro was done nice, and I would do something like that, but not the whole car.

cool stuff tho!

i can sharpie some pretty tight stick people. doubt that would work lol. that is some good stuff

The key to this is being able to draw extremely clean lines...sketching something out ala the bird sketch on the car would look just that...sketchy.

Seems like someone that specializes in that would charge a lot...

I would only do it if you car was white or silver, and you had someone do it right, using the correct sharpie paint pen not your normal sharpie. I'd also start out doing it to a trunk or hood something you can replace easily if it doesn't turn out.

I know a guy who did it to his BMW and it looked great. That red trans am looks like crap though I think you need to stick to a light color base.

^that looks pretty good, I agree with the sharpie looking better on lighter cars.
