With the huge number of people who have made the jump from V1s to V2s, are there any with lap times with both cars on the same tracks? Same driver only.

Also I realize of there are they probably won't be stock vs stock but it would still be interesting to see. Some of the things I'm doing to my V1 I wouldn't do with a V2.

Only one who comes to mind is thebigjimshmo and he totalled his V1 (thats why he got a V2) cuz he can't drive but he claims to have tracked both.

I've seen him on track, so that's not just a claim. However, I haven't seen him total a car, so I think he's only claimed to total his V1. I mean, anyone can tell a story and post some pictures of a crashed car!

Its true. He hit a deer while looking down posting on cf... He told me via pm and asked that I not tell anyone, but since there is a debate brewing I thought I'd clear it up..

His post count got hosed by a system crash or something back in the day along with a bunch of other guys on CF. You had to be around back then to remember it. They never fixed the count on his avatar. He's taken a bunch of shit about it from plenty of folks but never led on that it was a bogus number. I think he enjoys the attention. :eyes:

Nurburgring Should have some times for both cars....

8:19 and 7:59 I believe, but the extra horsepower helps a lot there.

8:19 was 2004 CTS-V's time... 7:59, obv V2 time.

Wow. That's not too bad I'd say comparing hp difference an how long of a track it is

20 seconds seems like a huge difference in my book.

Big time difference in the straights. Again, it's a long track which is why it's a good measure of accuracy when comparing cars.

GM used to do laps from a standstill though. They didn't start doing the "flying lap" until the whole Nurburgring-time thing took off. I think with the C6 Z06?

So it's not entirely clear if those two times are comparable.
