Drove all the way to Englishtown, NJ yesterday with a couple buddies to see if I could finally break into the 11's. When we pulled into the racetrack parking lot we were greeted with a "test and tune cancelled" sign. Another hour later we arrived at Atco raceway where it started raining hard right as we pulled in. Luckily 2 hours later, the sun came back out and I was able to get some passes in.

My best previous pass with mods in sig but Mac Midlength catted headers and 6250rpm shift points was:

60' - 1.894
1/8 - 7.815 @92.68
1/4 - 12.122@113.35

Yesterday with ARH 1-7/8 catted headers and 6500 shift points (STILL HAVE 2.73s). Humidity was 91% and the temperature was 3 degrees higher than my previous best. Didn't launch as hard as I could have after seeing a mustang get sideways right in front of me.

60' - 1.967
1/8 - 7.916@92.23
1/4 - 12.122@116.19

Wish I could have gotten another 1.8 60' to finally get that 11 second slip.

Anybody think going from 2.73's and ss3200 to 3.23's and ss3600 would gain me around 4 tenths and 2mph yet the converter will still feel the same around town?

Also the DA was 900ft, does my 116.2mph seem a little low for 433rwhp/ss3200/2.73s?

No way. Too subtle of a change. 3.73's and an SS4000 would make a difference, and still be streetable. You can also try shifting a little higher as well to improve your et. GL.

i dont think 2.73 to 3.23 is only a subtle change at all.. thats a decent change. Larger then going from 3.23 to 3.73. i loved my 3.23 with the stall converter. with ported ls6 heads, 226 234 eps cam, headers and 3800 converter i ran 7.37's 92-93 mph. 1.60 60's

at 92mph you can easily shave off 4 tenths IMO if your best is a 7.90 in the 1/8th

Thanks, That's my reasoning behind the 3.23's too, most people gain nothing with 3.42s or 3.73s over 3.23s, plus all the other downsides with going lower gears. I see a lot of nice 60' times on here with the ss3600s too, not so much the baby stall in my car.

I would go w/ a 3:42's and get those 60's down in the 1.6's and should be hitting mid 11's.

3.42 and 4400 will get you a very nice gain

At 116 MPH my GN would run 11.60s so Id say no.

I agree, i'd go 4000 and 3.42 gear at least. I went from 2.73 to 3.42 and holy hell the difference. Just wish I had a set of 3.73's to run.

witha 4400 and 3.23/3.42 it will probably go 11.20's at 118+ in decent air

I'd say your MPH is there, what are you running for tires?

I think it is low for 433rwhp, I trapped 113 at Atco with 363rwhp, 70rwhp less than yours. You should be at 119-120. I also have 2.73 but still stock heads. My converter is a bit higher than yours, get the gear up to 3.42 or 3.73 and at least a 3600 converter. You're probably just getting into 3rd with the traps coming up a few feet.

What does your car weigh with you in it? I weighed over at raceway park and it came in at 3,505 back then.

Converters are no joke, I gained a second off my ET with a drag radial and the converter. 13.2 to 12.2

EXACTLY my point!... the power is there... its just cant leave hard... And when it DOES leave HARD, it will gain MPH and a LOT of ET...
