2012 5.0 gt vs 240beast Though i would throw in a funny story today. Sorry no vids. I have just recently finished swapping in the engine and tuning my 89 240sx coupe. all work done by me and im pretty proud of it. This is no drift machine, just pure street fun car.
I have already killed many c5's ta's over past couple months. But today was funny.
cruising down the freeway i had an rx8 come flying up on my tail. of course i scoot over and he flys by. at this same moment a black brand new 5.0 comes haulin *** onto the on ramp. I can hear the exhaust. The 5.0 pulls up to the rx8 and starts Rev engine. They take off. As i watch the 5.0 pulls on the rx8 and i kinda get on it to catch up to them. I figured i would have some fun. rx8 guy drops off and the 5.0 i guess see's me riding up to there rear.
I get over in next lane, 5.0 slows down next to me i hear the engine rev and i look over... TWO girls in this thing hahah. Driver looks kinda hot, both are laughing like they are having the time of there life. I bump the throttle real quick and right then they punch it. getting the dig. we are doing about 60
she jumps up to about the front of my bumper, drop it into 3rd, i immediatley jump right back up and walk by them like it was nothing. as i passed i turned and blew kiss out the window to them, hit 4th and i pull ahead by about 4 car lengths before i see them give up.
Prob one of the funniest kills i have had. I love this car and cant wait to see what it will do with proper rear tires. Dont laugh but im still running stock 15x7 in the rear hahaha. im just now upgrading to 5 lug so i can run some 18x12's out back. so yes i had wheel spin in 3rd and 4th.

Why are you paying 100 for inspection? Most I've paid was like 35.

That's a badass ride you got there OP. Super clean too. I love the S13 notchback. My buddy is in the process of dropping an LS in his S13 hatch. Can't wait until that thing is ready to roll. Keep the killing spree going!

Sweet! I HATE regular 240s as the looks don't do it for me and they sound like pure fartcan in anywhere near stock form.
Kid a few cities over has an LS1 swapped 240 and it's MEAN. One of the few imports I would be proud to drive.
Enjoy that car, 2600 lbs and an LS1=lots of fun...but you already knew that

motor mounts 100 bucks ( i made them)
headers 1200
oil pan 600
odds and ends 500
cam and supporting mods 500
spec clutch 400
drive shaft 300
exhuast 300
efi live 300 used
all wiring done by me
pretty close to around 7k for everything
next up suspension... and then my neighbors all own bad *** muscle cars and build them. one of them is installing a paint booth in his garage and said he would love to teach me how to paint. so later down the road ill paint it black.

yes im really excited to get some nitto555r's on the back end of this thing. honestly its fast.. but i almost feel like its not fast enough. So after i get rid of the nasty wheel spin and wheel hop. i can then figure out if i need spray..
also im starting a 6.0 block build gonna take to to a 408. and maybe install it next year... or find a g35 shell at auto auction to put it in

Nice little car!
Please don't put bigs n littles on it I think that would look stupid as hell. I have a bone stock S14 I'm justa WAITIN for the ka24 to go so I'll have a good excuse to swap an Ls motor in it!

no big and littles here, ill be running 18x12 rear with a nice 335 sidewall. and some over fenders. none of that stretch tire mess or massive camber. this is going to be a street grip setup. front 18x10.
