Default FM Turbo and emission testing?

Anyone here done a front front turbo and emission testing. What was you set up? Would e85 be easier to pass?

I'm in Colorado which does a obd2, visual, and tailpipe sniffer, but anyone's experience is appreciated.

I pass emissions but they dont do the tailpipe sniffer in CT, id think that if you just put a cat on you wouldnt have any problem passing

Dont some visual inspections require the cats to be in stock location? If thats the case you might be screwed.

Thats what I was thinking but I'm not sure the law here ( recently moved). I was planning on running full exhaust out the back with a cat, and an electric cutout. But wasn't sure how the emissions compare on a turbo Ls compare to na.

I'm assuming there's no way to keep the air pump (AIR) with a turbo.

E85 would be easier to pass the sniffer correct?

You can keep the air pump, but its not needed. Once the engine warms up and the cats are heated, the air pump shuts off and does nothing else for emissions. You can remove it and have it turned off through tuning. Unless they look for it in the visual part of the inspection, then you might want to keep it.
You might want to consider a rear mount turbo if you are worried about emissions. Just replace the cats with offroad pipes, and on emissions day just swap back to your cats, after passing test go back to your offroad pipes and enjoy the rest of the year.
