Default IAT code

Hi everyone,
I have a lq4 with the green and blue pcm in a 99 s-10 extreme. The Intake air temperature sensor reads -39, whether its hooked up, not hooked up or shorted out. Any suggestions? Also my gauge cluster wont turn on until i hook my scan tool up.

Thanks in advance!

Mine read -39 when it went bad. Caused the car to stutter and misfire. Get a replacement from autozone they are brass and much better
