Default 02 WS6 vs 05 CTS-V both cammed with exhaust**VIDEOS

So a little backstory to this one. I was obliterated by a whipple/meth Cobra that made 650 rwhp a couple weeks ago.
see link for thread fiasco, lol
https://ls1tech.com/forums/street-ra...ys-my-ws6.html

A fellow board member "EPIK" is a good friend of the Cobra owner. We both thought that his CTS-V would be a good race with my WS6. And boy were we right.

Tonight we met up and had a bunch of clean runs and it is pretty much a drivers race if we get rid of the weight the camera guy adds to each car.

We must have had at least 8 clean runs and it was either me pulling him by a car, him pulling me by a car, or a dead even run from 45-120 ish. We alternated which car the camera guy would be in to get both angles.

Clean runs Dustin, nice meeting you and we'll have to do it again both with passengers or without.

TALE OF THE TAPE:
His car has a bigger cam and dynoed 420 rwhp/ 390 lbft
My car dynoed 390 rwhp/ 365 lb ft
Both are 6 speed cars with him having 3.73 gearing and my 3.42 gearing.
I obviously have at least a 300 lb weight advantage.

Thanks man.
Yeah good change of pace after getting freight trained by that Cobra, lol.

I am gonna try and do a rematch with passengers in both cars, or to get a GO-PRO angle to see how close they are when taking weight out of the equation.

Nice runs yesterday Jason & good to meet you as well. Our cars match up pretty damn good. I think with equal passengers in the cars, or no passengers at all, it will be an even better match up. We will have to do part 2 soon. Your car runs hard for the mild mods it has!!!

There are definitely a couple vids that we didn't post up that were some of the best runs.

Yeah rematch for sure, but yeah thats the definition of a family sedan that hauls right there. Now that's a mod that actually helped me in the outcome, hahahah.

Time for you to de-mod the little rugrat Recaros, hahahha. Good stuff man.

Smart idea with the towel setup for under the baby seats. Now I know what I have to do when I get home. LMAO

Good runs. Looked dead even. Passenger made the difference in most races it seemed. Both cars running good.

The seats are a nice touch to rub in the "You got beat by a 4 door family sedan" thing when I win a race LOL....
