I have access to a brand new 5.3l long block from GM that has CHA on the ID tag on the head. It is considered a LY5 engine, has a cast iron block, displacement on demand(also called active fuel management) and 799 aluminum heads. Engine comes with GM break in oil, truck oil pan installed, rear cover installed, valley cover, oil pan, pick-up and sensors. Only thing it is missing from being a complete is a front cover and cam gear(chain and everything else is there).

I just bought one and put it in a 07 tahoe, runs great, no problems. Here is a pic.

I would prefer to have something like this picked up for $2000 but could shipped it freight for $2300.
