Default 4th gen convertible rear upper shock bolt

Where is it? Pulled the carpet up and have been feeling around in the relative location but can not find it....

Can't feel a foam piece. Trust me I'm reaching very far, I'm 6'7"...

The foam piece is at the top of the deck lid (edge) where the rear sear rest against. Fold down the rear seat and the carpet (should) be pulled, but some have cut access flaps and done the same since the rear seat goes back and covers it. Otherwise remove the side panels and flip back the carpet.

This is the only pic I have that shows the foam pieces that cover the upper shock bolts. tope left and right of the black floor, white foam crescent shaped pieces. You have to remove carpeting and the inner quarter panel plastic interior pieces to acess this. Would be too awkward to reach blindly to do the work.

The dealer cut my carpet and I made them replace it under warranty a long time ago. Better to pull the side panel, the seat belt upper bracket and peel the carpet back IMO. No need to cut it.

The guy that changed mine said these were the hardest shocks he evere put on. Charged me $250.

I hate to tell you but if you paid $250 to just have 2 rear shocks put on you got taken, IMHO

Now if it was $250 for the fronts and rear, that was ok, the fronts are a bitch if the nut is rusted on the shaft as most are...IMHO
