Default Painted calipers opinions.............

Just wanted some input on what color to paint my calipers on my black 98 Camaro. I initially was leaning toward red, but now I'm thinking of a high gloss black. Is red being abused out there too much? I've got the silver Camaro decals for them which may stand out on the black better. Let me know................... Check my sig to eye up the situation.

I voted for black because it was the lesser of the two evils and because the silver decals would luck much better on black. But, I'm wondering how silver to match your ZR1 wheels would look? Granted the stickers wouldn't work on silver, but it might look nice if you sanded them down smooth then painted them silver.

I say black of the two choices... but you could go with a two tone similar to this.

That looks good! Black for the area under the decal, and silver to match the wheels on the other section.

I think we've got a winner. Black it shall be, with the silver bracket. I've got silver accents throughout the car, so this should look good. Thanks everybody.

BTW, if you are using stock rotors, Eastwood makes rotor and drum paint that looks like new cast iron, looks excellent!

Here's my black calipers (with the old gray primer).

I still voted red.. black will just be un-noticed and joe public will just assume they came that way.. red just screams "performance" must be why Z06 vettes have red calipers..

Oh, say a Carerra 4S today.. all black, black HRE wheels and RED calipers..
