Ok just picked up a fairly clean original 79 Buick Regal with the 3.8 that has a rod knock for a great price. Soon as I saw the car listed on the Internet I thought, pro touring g body ! But when I got her home Monday I cleaned the 14" white walls and factory hub caps and said damn she actually looks good like this, so now all that's running through my mind is SLEEPER ! With that being said I'm trying to compile a parts list so I can get on the road to getting my LS2 stuffed in her, what would be a great flowing but quiet set of mufflers that won't let it be so obvious that grandmas Regal is packing 400-500 hp ?

magnaflow ovals are pretty quiet and get a cam with high lsa to less lope and surprise since you say stealth. good luck, rob.
any project is fun. :)

I have a dynamax super turbo on my sonoma, and a maganflow on my trans am.
both are quiet until you open it up.
I had to have a semi quiet exhaust because i leave for work at 3 am

Would cats make a difference in the sound ? Just asking because I'm in a emissions free state (Michigan)

Cats will help quiet it down some and cut down on any fuel smell, so it'll help make it more stealth even to the nose.
Go with the longest oval muffler case you can for where you plan to mount the mufflers. If you go with a round muffler then you'll want the largest case diameter and length you can fit where you plan to mount them.
