Default Dull WS6 rim, How do I restore shine?

One of my chrome ws6 rims was cleaned by a previous owner and whatever he used dulled the chrome on it. Do y'all know what if anything can restore the shiny chrome appearance?

Sounds like they are clearcoated, and the clearcoat is messed up. Get some aircraft remover, strip em, and polish the hell out of them!!! My 00 wheels are stripped, and polished and they look so much better.

How would one go and check to see if they have clear coat or not?

Whats a good way of cleaning polished aluminum. By hand or w/ machine? ( buffer) and a good product to use besides mothers.

just get some mothers and rub one of the spokes
if it doesn't start clearing up or shining than there is clear on them.

also if there is clear on them you should be able to see it by looking for any
scratches or checking in the clear.

Im sure they are clearcoated, follow a write up and repolish them, make sure to use aircraft stripper, honest this is a project i would do with the rims off the car and the tire removed, also a polishing kit is almost a must
