is anyone running the racetronix kit http://www.thunderracing.com/shop-by/vehicle/2004-2007-Cadillac-CTS-V/Fuel-System/Fuel-Pumps-and-Controllers/

if so any impressions ?? and does anyone have an install/writeup??

I am. Unfortunately, there's no writeup. It's a pain in the butt to install, regardless of whether you decide to drop the lower subframe or cut into your back seat.

If I had to do it over, I would order superior Aeromotive 340 LPH pump and the Racetronix kit that only includes the wiring and not the Walbro 255 LPH pump.

Nothing, other than the fact that there are better (i.e.: quieter and flow faster) pumps available for nearly the same price.

so you are reccomending?? just get the racetronix kit but with different pump ??

It all depends on your horsepower goals... I don't recall what the 255 will support, but I've got the setup you're looking at... The pump is a bit loud, but once my car is running I can't really hear it

I was told walbro 255 was best for the money for factory replacement upgrade.

I really like my Denso. very quiet. I also installed the Hotwire kit with.

you don't need the ground wire they option. worthless.

I honestly dont see the 255 as a big upgrade. Does anyone know what the factory pump is rated at? I never ran out of fuel at 500rwhp on a bone stock fuel system. The 255 with hotwire kit is only rated to like 550rwhp.

I bought a DEATSCHWERKS 320

I also bought an AEROMOTIVE regulator.

Also bought the "special wrench" to remove the fuel pump locking ring.

None of it has been installed as of yet.

I am also considering increasing the diameter of the feed line to the regulator.

heavy not sure how effective that regulator will be. the one inside the tank would take first adjustment, would it not? just saying.

I just did the complete install of everything myself and modified the bucket too. really just time consuming and be careful not to break off any of those tubes attached to the tank. Mine broke and what a PITA getting new/used fuel tanks and buckets.

I used a BFH and big screwdriver to remove the locking rings. with the tank down, makes the angles much easier to swing, but the ring still does not come off easy.

I figured that if I change the diameter of the feed pipe, I might have to put a regulator at the rail end and remove the tank regulator.

Okay, so which setup is the best AND cost effective kit if going to a Maggie.

not sure if you can disconnect the regulator in tank, but I am still learning about our setup. I broke it all down and just feel like this fuel pump/regulator setup is very, very limited.

Unless you scrap that entire fuel bucket setup, and go with a return style where you can use that regulator, changing out the pump is the best you can do.

My car is not hurting for any fuel with my setup: Kyosan 1020 285lph,Racetronix hotwire, 42lb green tops, Nasty fuel rails w/an -8 dual feed/crossover.

just for safe keeping, I was thinking of adding the MSD 2351 or KB BAP.

My plan is to use the existing line as the return line and install a bigger dia line to the rails.

All the pumps that I looked at were voltage sensitive, and the existing line could be improved upon.

I seem to remember the fix for getting rid of the magna-volt is to replace the pump and up the pressure, also replace injectors.

I know that when you up the displacement (LS7) they run out of gas because the stock system can't feed it enough.

and another thing , are there any opinions on making an access panel instead of tearing half the car apart

I was under the impression you just remove this little guy...

That is not really a "regulator", I believe, but for dampening surges.

Here is a link for fittings:

I was understood this was the regulator by another member, showing a DENSO part number, which was a regulator part number.
If not, then where is the regulator, as I have looked at everything... its not the filter. This is the only item left.

yeah that is the regulator, the fuel pressure pulse dampener is on the intake manifold (at least for the ls6, my LS2 fuel rail doesn't have one...)

My bad.

I don't have that on the maggie.

Seems like a pretty easy thing to bypass in the tank.

i actually just figured this out, I thought that was the regulator on the intake, as well, but my LS2 fuel rails on my FAST102 didn't have them, and i was pretty baffled as to why.

The maggie setup on Mr. Vette uses the dampner, but it isn't on the V.

that piece on the intake can't be the regulator. I have a Fast 92 and rails and this is not even on my car. has to be that piece in tank.

I was not going to remove the one in tank, put it all back together just to find out it is a needed part of that crap system.

There's no regulator in or around the tank. Only a fuel pump, filter, hoses (both outlet and return), and the fuel level measurement boom/float.

Not sure why the link doesnt work.. so here is the picture.

all signs point to this as the regulator.

it is not in the fuel filter either.
