Was out at a meet and got a run in with a newer boosted 5.0 stang, cool guy and i was on pump with hoosier dot radials. Run was from about a 60roll and i let out around 140or so.

he had extra luggage for sure, ill be back out again but with another pump...ive maxed out my fuel system and in need of a 2nd 344 pump. car makes a solid 550hp but with over 100idc's ....riding on the edge.

630rwhp 4000lbs. Car only went 12.1@124 launching in 2nd and paddle shifting through gears at 6200rpm. Car is easily capable of 130 I think.

i have put down consitant 500+hp pulls on 93oct no meth, strait from quicktrip gas pumps. this is a old vid of it at 400hp pump gas against 466whp ls2 vett and 06 600's i was full weight then and tiped the scales just over 2400lbs traping 124mph on street tires.

This import could very well make that power on pump. That power level @ that weight its no surprise what he did to the 5.0.

I was the one that video'd it in the 5.0, he was loaded down with passengers we were going to video the pro charged vette and mirrage and the vette didn't go the first time so I talked josh into pulling up beside the mirage for the hell of it since we were already there lol. none the less that "basterd" is fast! like he said 140mph trap car and would still beat the 5.0 just wouldn't be as ugly. I think the 5.0 should trap around 134. I'm looking forward to getting my turn at it when my cage is done soon.

Like i said your car is fast for what it is...But something dosen't add up with the hp claims on the mustang..Im all about having a sleeper car,but that mustang sounded too queit for the hp that it claims to make..Even if you traped 10mph faster theres no way in hell you would pull that fast on him in such a short distance..

To make this easy you would have to neglect various things such as possible traction issues and and difficulty with each shift that might cause any sort of acceleration loss.

When i ran that 466hp vett i was way slower then. it takes me about 4_5sec to get from 65mph to 140mph. In 11.1 sec it takes me from 0~ 139mph on my old setup, in the run with the stang i went from 60~140. Just wait till the new vids get posted.

My buddies vette traps 140 in the 1/4. I was trapping 130 and it walked away bad from me. Now I have trapped 134 same thing happened. From 40-140 he had least 2 buses on me both on 130 vs 140 trap.

Acceleration does have something to do with the outcome...What makes me skeptical about the hp claims of the mustang is that car should produce alot more torque than the mirage and would pull instantly from the hit..
