I've noticed that companies claim a 15+ hp gain just from installing roller rockers on a stock LS1. Mine is mostly stock so I was considering doing it. I was going to install the 1.8 because i don't plan on doing a cam upgrade. Does anyone know if the claims are true? Anyone done this upgrade? Any advice would be great..thanks

The car will gain, as for me I never did the mod for LS cars but on LTx stuff it was considered a normal upgrade. Personally not a fan of stock mush springs so even if I did not plan for a cam, I would plan for a spring swap.

Check the dyno section, you may come across something similar to your car.

You'll need to upgrade the valve springs also, so you'll want at least a set of LS6 valve springs. Do you have a high stall TC, if not I'd go that route since it's a better "bang-for-the-buck".

Complete waste of money. The added stress on the rest of the valvetrain is not worth the extra few HP that you will probably never feel anyways.
